Located on a unique waterfront property, the 2,230 SF residence is a sustainable west coast modern design, frequently used as a vacation retreat for a busy couple and their four children. It is sited on a high bank overlooking Georgia Strait, providing a dramatic west coast island setting. The design is composed of two intersecting small "cottages"; one is the living/playing space and the other is the quiet bedroom space. The heavy timber framing and wood finishing is clearly expressed both inside and outside the house.
